Define obsessed...Here I am again. I just noticed that I misspelled "niece"! What a travesty!
Ok, so I have no idea where that all came from. In the last/first posting. Who was that and how did she manage to possess my thought processes? OK, everyone, I know I scared you all a bit with that...bit. Can we all just try to just erase that and start over? I already have. Ugh! Enough of the melodramatics!

So down to real issues and current events. Everyone, I've started reading again. A friend at work, who shall remain unnamed (let's just say her/his name ryhmes with Jatina), lent me copy of Wicked. I know, I'm the last person to read it, just like I was the last person on the face of the planet to read The Da Vinci Codes! I know, I know, get with the program, right? Can't help it, I have NO time! I'm living in a time vacuum folks! Time does not exist! "Please ma'am, can you tell me the time?" "NO I CAN'T!" Anyhow, so I'm reading it, and I'm thinking about it all the time. I'm thinking at work when can I have time to steal away and read. I'm thinking at home when, how, where can I read! The reading is on the brain! Thanks "Jatina"! God, it's horrible! And more horrible than my fully-developed obsession is having a friend that makes me read! What were you thinking lending me a book, Jatina?! You're like my book "pusher"! Ugh! I'll need to go through Oprah's Book Club 12 Step Program for readaholics! (Is there some sort of undiagnosed and un-studied condition that really exists for this? Seriously. I know some people that could use the help.)

Speaking of healthy obsessions, thank you Tasha for hooking me on "Lost"! I'm trying to balance one more thing in my hectic working mom schedule! Aaack!! (Remember the comicstrip "Cathy" and all her 'aacks!' and hair fraying everywhere? I understand her now. Where did she go?) I'm utterly involved with this show now. I spent 1 1/2 hours Friday night (YES, Friday night! Where am I supposed to be on a Friday night?! Double fisting Tequila shots and darts at the local watering hole?! I don't think so...) on the Lost website reading (again with the reading) all the recaps of all the episodes. Desperately catching up with missed details, reading cast bios, and wondering if a subscription to the official Lost quarterly magazine is overkill! Aack! I need a valium...AND the next day, I drag Alan to Costco to BUY the season 1 DVD set! I'm on the 3rd disc already! Ugh...where's that Tequila shot when you need it?

Getting Ready and Not Doing Anything Yet...

So I'm sitting here while husband is getting packed up for our trip. He's such a boyscout. (Are there boyscouts in the Philippines?) Four days till we leave for Oahu. Things being that I've been so anxious to get back there (for vacation in general), why am I the one to procrastinate?

Fact two: Also a big time procrastinator. Can't help it. Always was. Ever since I was 8? Flashback: Eight (?)-year old me at sitting at dinner table doing homework, Uncle asks "Neice, what are you doing?" Young me replies "Doing homework". Uncle asks "Why? It's Friday!" And so folks, so begins the slow downward spiral to career procrastinationalism. Can you imagine what kind of person I'd be now, what I could have continued to be, if not for that one life-changing, turning point in my life?! OH, the greatness that could have been (exasperated sigh, violins playing melodramatic melody in background, rose-colored soft focus fades to black)...
